TUCSON, ARIZONA – After playing their first preseason match of 2015, Vancouver Whitecaps FC returned to training Thursday at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona. We’ve got some photos, video, and updates from the session below.
- The ‘Caps already have four trialists with them in Tucson and another one is set to join the group later tonight in forward Miguel Cueter. The 6-foot-2 Colombian recently completed his freshman season with the Point University Skyhawks of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, registering two goals in 11 appearances.
- Centre back Kendall Waston and midfielder Kianz Froese both joined the team in Tucson on Wednesday.
- Whitecaps FC midfielder Pedro Morales is heading back to Chile tonight as his wife is expecting to give birth to their second child in the coming days. The ‘Caps skipper will re-join the team next week in Vancouver.
- Midfielder Russell Teibert (left foot) trained for the first time as a neutral on Thursday, while Erik Hurtado (right hip) worked out on the sidelines with head athletic trainer Jake Joachim.
