Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye made his first start of Euro 2016 on Sunday.
And he did not disappoint.
The French defensive midfielder played the full 90 minutes and completed nine successful tackles – the most of any player in a single match at Euro 2016 – as host France secured the top spot in Group A with a scoreless draw against Switzerland.
On BBC’s halftime show, former French star Thierry Henry called him the best player on the pitch.
Not a bad night’s work.
Cabaye is one of four Crystal Palace players at Euro 2016. Whitecaps FC host the English Premier League club on July 19 in an international friendly at BC Place (tickets on sale NOW).
