Cristian Techera and MatÃas Laba were honoured with selections to the MLS Team of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
The pair was electric for Whitecaps FC on Saturday, leading the charge in their 4-2 win over LA Galaxy at BC Place.
Techera tormented the opposing defence right from kickoff, scoring a goal in the 19th minute, and also had a hand in Fredy Montero's and Laba's goals, coming in a two-minute span in the second half.

Playing his 100th MLS regular season match in the Blue and White, Laba recorded his first-ever brace. His first, which is up for MLS Goal of the Week, was blasted from just outside the top of the box. Then, he put the nail on the 'Caps first victory with an insurance goal in the closing minutes, heading in a rebound for the 4-2 final score.

Techera, Laba, and the 'Caps are back in action on Wednesday, April 5 when they host Tigres UANL in the second and decisive leg of the CONCACAF Champions League semifinal at BC Place. Tickets are still available.
