VANCOUVER, BC – It's College Night at BC Place on Wednesday as Vancouver Whitecaps FC look to clinch their spot in the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs. The 'Caps will be hosting Western Conference leaders St. Louis CITY SC for the very first time, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
Here are some important notes for fans heading to the match.

This ticket includes:
- Exclusive access to the pre-match patio party at Terry Fox Plaza. Show your ticket before 6 P.M. to receive a free 500/473/355 ml or 1 oz alcoholic beverage or any non-alcoholic beverage.
- Access to the official after party at Hotel Belmont. Show your College Night ticket for access and a free beverage.
Anthems + Halftime
Singing the American anthem will be Adriana Zaharijevic, a fourth year music major at the University of British Columbia. Singing the Canadian anthem will be Chelsea Andallo, a third year kinesiology student at the University of British Columbia, having completed her diploma at Langara College.
Halftime will feature a special set from the Thunderbird Marching Band, the only university-level marching band in all of Western Canada.
Fans should also be prepared for the Rio Mare T-Shirt Cannon giving out free t-shirts with a special surprise - two tickets for the October 21 Decision Day match against LAFC is included in one of the shirts!
Beyond 90 career panel
Alongside B90 partners MNP, more than 100 students and guests will take in a career panel prior to the match from Whitecaps FC staff on working in the professional sports industry.

The Warmup pre-match patio party
The Warmup pre-match patio party kicks off College Night at 4 p.m. PT on Terry Fox Plaza. Drinks start at $5, with DJ Juice and friends, facepainters, soccer juggling and a Whitecaps FC player signing autographs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT.
PlayNow Soccer Showdown
A few lucky fans at the match will be chosen to take part in the PlayNow Soccer Showdown, a halftime obstacle course. Fans in the stands can also predict the winner and enter to win a $250 food & drink voucher and a pitchside table to a future match.

Stay tuned to the videoboard during pre-match and halftime and scan the QR code to take part in a game that will land one lucky winner a new TV courtesy of TELUS.

Keep an eye out on Terry Fox Plaza before the match, in the concourse, and during the match at the top of sections 228/229 for the Hitmen Drumline.

Gates
Gates A, C, H, E, G, and the Accessible drop-off/pick-up located along Pacific Boulevard at section 147 will all be open for entry starting at 6:30 p.m. PT. Gates for suite entry will open at 6 p.m. PT.

$5 Menu!
BC Place has announced a new $5 menu this year, in collaboration with Sodexo Live!, including $5 beer, hot dogs, nachos, and popcorn. Limited-release items may appear on the menu throughout the year. The $5 Menu is available at Dawson’s Hot Dogs stands at sections 201 and 227.
Kids Combo
The Kids Combo at Dawson's Hot Dogs (214 and 241) is $6.50 for a hot dog, chips, fountain soda. The Kids Combo at Lions Gate Grill (228 and 254) is $6.50 for chicken strip, fries and fountain soda.
Kid Captain
Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Sailor from BC Children's Hospital as Kid Captain for Wednesday's match against St. Louis CITY SC.
When Sailor was born, her parents discovered she was paralyzed. In the past eight years of her life, Sailor has been admitted countless times to BC Children’s Hospital with various sicknesses, complications, and has undergone over 15 surgeries. She recently has taken up Para hockey, and was even invited to the Canadian national women’s para hockey training camp last fall. Sailor’s family knows that because of the incredible care that she receives from BC Children’s hospital, particularly the orthopedics department, that her future is bright, full of hope, and much possibility.

Supporters of the Match
Wednesday's supporter of the match is Ben Goldsmith from Vancouver Albion supporters group.
Ben has been a 'Caps fan since birth, a season ticket member since 2019, and a member of Vancouver Albion since its creation in July 2021.
His favourite memory is his away trip to San Jose at the start of this year, because it was his first away game. His favourite part of being in a supporters group is making a difference, both for the team and in growing football culture in Vancouver and Canada.

The Asahi Super Dry Landing provides the perfect atmosphere to kick back with the squad, entertain clients, or enjoy an evening with the family with the best views in BC Place – right behind the player benches! Asahi Super Dry is also available at sections 219, 234, 248.
Last call
The last call for alcohol in the stadium will be the 75th minute of the match.

Clear bags/Bag Check
For ease of entry, Whitecaps FC and BC Place recommend you don’t bring a bag to the stadium. If you do bring a bag, make sure it’s made of clear plastic and smaller than 12”x12”x6”. Exceptions will be made for diaper bags and medically necessary items that do not fit into a clear bag. You can bring one small opaque bag, but it can’t be larger than 6.5”x 8.5”. All bags will be inspected prior to entry.
Mobile entry
All tickets for Whitecaps FC matches are through mobile ticketing, providing a contactless and paperless experience. Season ticket members and pack holders will need to access their tickets through whitecapsfc.com/accountmanager. Single match buyers will access their tickets through Ticketmaster.
Cashless transactions
In order to reduce the potential for hand-to-hand contact, and to improve the efficiency of payment transactions, BC Place is now a cashless venue. Concessions and food and beverage vendors will accept all major digital forms of payment including Mobile, Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Cash payments will not be accepted. There will be a Cash to Card kiosk located at Sec 235 where guests can exchange cash for cards to use at the food and beverage locations throughout the stadium.
