Remembering the Humboldt Broncos: There will be a moment of silence following the opening procession and prior to the national anthems to remember those lost in the recent tragedy involving the Humboldt Broncos. The captain’s armband will feature the Humboldt Broncos logo, and all players will wear armbands honouring all those affected by the tragedy.
Daffodil Day: April is Daffodil Month supporting the Canadian Cancer Society. Volunteers will be collecting donations for Daffodil pins at ‘Caps Kickoff and on the concourse. All funds raised help support people living with cancer and their families.
Kid Captain: Friday’s Kid Captain of the Match is Faris Abdulwahab, a 14-year-old patient from BC Children’s Hospital living with brittle bone disease. Faris will be honoured in the supporters’ section pre-match by the Vancouver Southsiders.
Welcome home: Canadian Paralympic snowboarders John Leslie and Colton Liddle will be in attendance, and will be recognized at the match after recently representing our country in PyeongChang.
