VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC attacking midfielder Ryan Gauld has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for an eighth time this season following his performance in the 'Caps 1-0 road victory over Chicago Fire FC on Matchday 29.

Gauld assisted Brian White's game-winning goal to become the 'Caps all-time leader in MLS assists with 23 and extended his recent run to 10 goals as well as nine assists in his past 14 appearances across all competitions. He also continues to lead MLS in goal contributions since May 31 with 16 (nine goals, seven assists).
In addition, the Scottish playmaker recorded three shots, three chances created, and five successful duels on Wednesday night.
