VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that earlier today forward Tosaint Ricketts underwent a successful right knee arthroscopy.
"Tosaint was managing this injury the last couple of months and now was the right time to move forward with the procedure in order for him to make a full recovery by January,” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC CEO and sporting director. “We worked closely with the local and provincial health officials to ensure everyone’s safety and are very thankful for their assistance.”
In 2020, the 33-year old native of Edmonton, Alberta made 16 appearances, scored two game-winners and was named the club’s Humanitarian of the Year. Ricketts arrived in Vancouver in August 2019 and has made 24 appearances, scored three goals and added two assists.
