REUNION, FL - Whitecaps FC forward Yordy Reyna was selected to the MLS Team of the Week on Friday following a milestone performance in the 2-0 victory over Chicago Fire FC.
His insertion in the second half changed the complexion of the match, as he led the 'Caps to a late surge with a goal and an assist for the two-goal difference the team needed to advance to the Round of 16.
In doing so, he moved to a tie with Camilo with eight game-winning goals, most in club MLS history. His assist also put him in a share for second place with Russell Teibert in club MLS history with 17 assists.
21-year old Ranko Veselinovic also earned a bench selection for the league honour after helping the 'Caps to a shutout win.
