VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that Yordy Reyna has been called up to the Peruvian national team for their upcoming friendlies versus Paraguay and El Salvador.
La Blanquirroja face Paraguay on March 22 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ, then battle El Salvador four days later at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
Reyna, who opened the 2019 MLS season with an assist versus Minnesota United FC last Saturday, is not expected to miss any Whitecaps FC matches.
The March friendlies are the final fixtures before the Peruvian national team roster for the 2019 Copa América is named.
Reyna has two goals in 22 appearances with the Peruvian men’s national team.
