What’s your hometown (or country) known for?
Meat, potatoes and beer.
What reminds you of home?
Whenever you drive outside the city a little bit and you drive through the forest and through kind of the less populated areas, I think that in general reminds me of home.
What do you love most about Vancouver?
I like to go bike riding around Stanley Park, that’s probably been my favourite thing to do so far.
Who’s one celebrity you’d most like to meet?
Joachim Löw.
If you had to swap places with a teammate for a day, who would you choose?
Probably the single guy so I'll just go with Sebastian Berhalter, he’s a young guy, single guy like just no responsibilities, no family.
There’s a zombie apocalypse and you can choose three teammates to help you survive it. Who are you picking?
Cavallini, Veselinović, Jungwirth.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I’d want to fly.
Describe your dream home.
A big house, very open, big backyard, with a pool and basement, with a nice man cave with a golf simulator. Probably on the water with a boat, just plenty of space, nice open concept and a modern kitchen.
What do you think you will do once your playing days are over?
I hope I do somewhat, obviously, stay connected to the game like maybe do media as a commentator or as an analyst. Or more venture in like front office type roles like a manager, not a coach so much but like a general manager, sporting director, technical director, those types of roles I think I would like.
What’s your favourite genre of music?
Probably Pop but like remixed, not hard techno-type things but like remixes with good beats. I probably listen to that the most but I listen to a lot of things not just that.
Who’s your favourite artist?
It always changes, I’ve listened to so many baby songs lately. Probably “The Chainsmokers”.
What’s your favourite movie?
“Wedding Crashers”
Describe your dream vacation.
Probably somewhere on the beach, nice warm weather with pool close by as well, all-inclusive, no hassle about anything, just waking up, enjoying the sun and spending quality time with the people.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Work hard and stay humble.
Describe the worst haircut you’ve ever had.
I mean, back in the day when there was the Justin Bieber haircut, like big-time, long hair, all throughout my teen years. That’s probably the worst.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably some nice tempeh with some fresh veggies. Simple, I think I could eat that everyday.
What would the title of your autobiography be?
Don’t Dream Your Life But Live Your Dreams.
What’s the strangest job you’ve ever had?
Only job I’ve ever had is playing soccer.
What is your cellphone wallpaper?
My daughter and my wife.
What’s the quirkiest thing about you?
Probably just nutrition, health and health for the environment, that type of angle but a lot of research on that or documentaries on that in terms of how can we make this Earth livable for infinity. That type of stuff like very health conscious and conscious of our surroundings, environment and this planet.
