spent the past week with Canada’s U-18 men’s national team.
U-18
Saturday’s match will be a battle for first place in the Northwest Division as Whitecaps FC U-18 (15W-4-L-5D, 50pts) look to regain top spot over Sounders FC U-18 (17W-5L-2D, 53 pts).
Last time out the ‘Caps played to a 0-0 draw on the road against Crossfire Premier. Sounders FC, meanwhile, have not played a match since March 21 when they lost 2-1 to that same Crossfire Premier team.
U-16
Newly named head coach Adam Day
takes the reins of a talented U-16 team. While the U-18s look to get back atop their division, Whitecaps FC U-16 (15W-3L-6D, 51pts) are looking to stay there.
The Blue and White will be keen to get back in the win column after a 1-1 draw in their last outing against Crossfire Premier.
Sounders FC (11W-8L-5D, 38pts), meanwhile, are currently in a battle to make the playoffs and will be hungry for a result over the ‘Caps.
