VANCOUVER, BC - The 'Caps look to string consecutive victories when they take to the pitch on Sunday against Montreal Impact.

PLAYOFF RACE: The 'Caps enter the weekend just three points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference, meaning a win on Sunday could put them above the line.
HOMECOOKING: Whitecaps FC made a triumphant return to Vancouver after 189 days with a 3-2 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday, receiving strong contributions across the board. They look for a repeat performance on Sunday and exact revenge on Montreal Impact, who won their previous meeting 2-0 on August 25. On the line for the 'Caps are regular season points, and playing spoiler in the Impact's bid for a spot in the 2020 Canadian Championship Final. Montreal need to sweep the two matches against the 'Caps to force a tie with Toronto FC. The tiebreaker is based on goal differential then goals scored and away goal differential.
STELLAR PERFORMANCES: The 'Caps two Designated Players proved too much for Toronto FC's defence on Saturday and will look to lead Vancouver to back-to-back wins. Last week, Lucas Cavallini notched Vancouver's first goal to set the tone for the evening, and Ali Adnan tallied two assists and was a handful throughout the match.
YOUNG GUYS DELIVERING: Head coach Marc Dos Santos has given his young players the opportunity to prove themselves. 21-year old Thomas Hasal's breakout summer continues, recording seven saves versus TFC, while 20-year old Michael Baldisimo has delivered in his two starts, including a goal and an assist in his last outing.
