LAST ROADEO: After claiming their spot in the Canadian Championship semifinals on Wednesday, the 'Caps are set to wrap up a string of three consecutive away matches with this Western Conference clash at Children's Mercy Park. The match will mark the second meeting of the season between the two sides, with the 'Caps claiming victory at BC Place on April 2 thanks to Ryan Raposo's first MLS goal. This will also mark the first double trip of the season, as on Sunday WFC2 will play at SKCII at Rock Chalk Park at 11 a.m. PT.
SEARCHING FOR PAYBACK: The last time the 'Caps visited Children's Mercy Park was last November in the MLS Cup Playoffs, when Sporting claimed a 3-1 victory to eliminate the Blue & White from further progressing in the playoffs. On Saturday night, Vanni Sartini and his team will be hoping for some payback as they look to vault up the Western Conference standings.
UP NEXT: Following Saturday's match, the 'Caps will have a full week to prepare for their next match as they host Real Salt Lake at BC Place on Saturday, June 4 in the club's Indigenous Peoples Match. More details on pre-match festivities and events will be announced soon.
