This Saturday marks Union Night at BC Place as we celebrate the contributions of unions to our community (7 p.m. PT, tickets ticketmaster.ca/whitecapsfc). Among those unions in attendance will be the Ironworkers Local 97, whom the 'Caps have partnered with to help commemorate the 60th anniversary of the tragic collapse of the Second Narrows Bridge (since renamed the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge).
The Ironworkers were among many to help build, and later renovate our home stadium - BC Place. Below are images of their work during construction.
