VANCOUVER, BC – Our all. Our honour.
That’s the club’s motto – and it’s more than just a good line.
In Wednesday’s CONCACAF Champions League match, Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi and C.D. Olimpia midfielder Romell Quioto were involved in a big, inadvertent collision that left Quioto with a fractured rib and collapsed lung.
As a result, Quioto couldn’t fly back to Honduras with the team. Instead, he has to stay in Vancouver for a few weeks. It's an unfortunate situation, as you can imagine, and one that struck a chord with Tornaghi.
The popular 'Caps 'keeper got wind of this news and paid Quioto a visit in the hospital on Friday (see above picture) – as did Curva Collective member Zach Meisenheimer.
A small gesture, but one that surely went a long way.
That’s what you call class.
