Are you considered a role model in your community? Do you have a friend or neighbour that uses the game of soccer to make a difference? NOMINATE YOUR COMMUNITY MVP TODAY!
For the past two years, Whitecaps FC has won the league-wide MLS WORKS Community MVP contest with Bobby Samra and Bill Yoachin, who both used soccer as a tool for bettering the community. Together, the two winners have donated $30,000 to their respective charities of choice, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Hope and Health. The ‘Caps are hoping to continue the winning streak and are looking for the 2015 Whitecaps FC Community MVP! We want to reward individuals who promote goodwill, demonstrate leadership qualities and help to improve lives within our community.
Until July 5, 'Caps fans will have the opportunity to nominate themselves or another individual who sets an example as a leader in the community and uses soccer as a tool to help make a positive impact in one of the following areas:
· Social issues focusing on acceptance, inclusion, diversity and equality
· Health issues affecting men, women or children
· Community service for a local, national or international charity or community organization
The 2015 Community MVP Contest winner will represent the ‘Caps in the MLS Community MVP contest, win a VIP Whitecaps FC experience, and a trip for the winner and a guest to the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game in Denver, Colorado on July 29, 2015. The trip includes accommodations for two (2) nights, roundtrip coach airfare, Wells Fargo stagecoach horse, two (2) tickets to the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game, and recognition during the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game.
