Jake Nerwinski has been voted the Whitecaps FC Player of the Month for July, presented by Coldwell Banker, after earning 41 per cent of the votes in a poll conducted on Twitter this week.
The rookie right back narrowly beat striker Fredy Montero, who earned 34 per cent of the votes.
Nerwinski, 22, played the full 90 minutes in four of Vancouver’s five matches during the month of July.
