Myer Bevan scored the winning goal for New Zealand on Tuesday in a 1-0 win over Chinese Taipei at the 2018 Hero Intercontinental Cup in Mumbai, India.
The ‘Caps striker – on loan to Swedish side Husqvarna FF – scored the goal on a penalty kick in the 36th minute after teammate Sarpreet Singh was pulled down in the box. It was the 21-year-old’s second international goal in only four appearances with the senior team.
The All Whites sit in second place after two matches and can clinch a spot in the final with a victory over hosts India on Thursday.
