Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday that more than 2,000 tickets have already been sold for Sunday’s inaugural Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) home opener against Toronto FC II at Thunderbird Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. PT with tickets available at

“We’re looking forward to a fantastic atmosphere on Sunday as we celebrate another historic day for the local soccer community,” said Whitecaps FC chief operating officer Rachel Lewis. “Bring your family and friends as we pack Thunderbird and welcome our Canadian rivals Toronto FC II.”
Doors open at 2 p.m. and fans are encouraged to come early to enjoy a festive atmosphere that will include food trucks, activities, a variety of beer options, and live music. Attendees should be prepared for sunshine, as the forecast is calling for beautiful weather.
Family friendly activities will include juggling and face painting, with pre-game mini matches and halftime bubble soccer.
