On the heels of yesterday’s MLS College SuperDraft and today’s NWSL College Draft, Vancouver Whitecaps FC continue to build towards the 2015 Whitecaps FC Showcase presented by Sport Chek as the next wave of talent get set to enter the college ranks.
This spring, schools across North America will descend upon Newton Athletic Park in Surrey, British Columbia. Coaches and scouts will be in town for the event from April 3 to 5, looking for new talent to add to their collegiate soccer programs.
With three months to go, Whitecaps FC have already confirmed attendees from both the east and west coast of Canada, as well as United States-based schools from Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia.
With top clubs from Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest entering the 2015 Whitecaps FC Showcase alongside Whitecaps FC Residency teams, as well as the Girls Elite Regional EXCEL Centre (REX) squad in Partnership with BC Soccer, interest from college coaches continues to rise.
In addition to college scouts, Whitecaps FC Residency and Girls Elite REX technical staff will also be on hand evaluating, as well as supporting the selection of a Showcase All-Star Team.
