NASHVILLE, TN – Vancouver Whitecaps FC MLS Academy put in another valiant performance, but saw their playoff run come to an end in a 2-1 defeat against Los Angeles Galaxy Academy.

The 'Caps opened the scoring in the 11th minute. Aiden Bejaoui finished off a ruthless counterattack to take a 1-0 lead.

The Galaxy had a penalty kick in the 19th minute. Sam Rogers made himself big in net, and the Galaxy shooter missed the net to keep Whitecaps FC in the lead.

The match was tied on 33 minutes, as the Galaxy scored on a shot from outside the box.

LA took the lead in the 60th minute, when a whipped ball to the back post skipped in to give LA a 2-1 advantage.

In stoppage time, the 'Caps had one more terrific chance. Bejaoui got behind the backline again, but the Galaxy keeper did well to leap and stop a chip over his head, before the follow-up shot was blocked.

That would be it, as a fantastic season came to a close for the U-15s.
