'Caps fans can expect a number of exciting activations and opportunities this Saturday at BC Place. Here's a brief glimpse of all the events that ‘Caps fans can participate in throughout the match between Whitecaps FC and Houston Dynamo.
Bell Fan Zone
During Saturday’s match, retired Whitecaps FC defender Y.P. Lee will be honoured in a pre-match ceremony. ‘Caps fans will also have the opportunity to meet him in person at the Bell Box on Terry Fox Plaza from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to get an autograph from one of the most esteemed players to don a Whitecaps FC jersey! While you’re at the Bell Fan Zone, ‘Caps fan can also show off your Whitecaps FC pride with face painting, and colouring your own personalized Whitecaps FC scarf. Fans can also play as their favourite ‘Caps and emerge victorious against their friends on the virtual pitch in EA SPORTS FIFA 14.
BMO Kicking Cage
The BMO Kicking Cage, which is located at ‘Caps Kickoff at Terry Fox Plaza, offers Whitecaps FC fans the chance to measure their speed and accuracy and see how they stack up against their favourite ‘Caps players. Be sure to sign up for a BMO MasterCard at the BMO booth to experience the Power of Blue.

‘Caps in the Community Match-Day Partner – Covenant House
Whitecaps FC is proud to announce that Covenant House is Saturday's community match-day partner. Since 1997, Covenant House has provided shelter for homeless and runaway youth who are often victims of physical, emotional or sexual abuse. With the strength of over 100 volunteers and 50,000 donors across the province, Covenant House is driven to reach their ultimate goal of seeing no more homeless youth on the streets of Vancouver. Be sure to visit the Covenant House booth at ‘Caps Kickoff and on the BC Place concourse at Section 213 to learn more about Covenant House and how you can help end youth homelessness in Vancouver. Covenant House will also be holding a raffle for a number of fantastic prizes; all proceeds will benefit Covenant House Vancouver.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC Merchandise
Stop by the ‘Caps merchandise locations at BC Place and be sure to take a few minutes to browse the ‘Caps selection of jerseys, scarves, and T-shirts. New this match, 'Caps fans will have the opportunity to round up their merchandise purchases to the nearest dollar with proceeds benefiting the ‘Caps community match-day partner. Merchandise roundup proceeds on Saturday will go towards supporting Covenant House.
Port Metro Vancouver Heritage Horns
To celebrate 40 years of Whitecaps FC history, Port Metro Vancouver will sound the Canada Place Heritage Horns after every ‘Caps victory this season. For the past 15 years, the horns at Canada Place have been a lunch hour tradition in Vancouver for the past 15 years, sounding the first four notes of O’ Canada every day at noon. The sounding of the Heritage Horns at Canada Place for Whitecaps FC victories could be the beginning of a tradition unlike any other in North America and will symbolize the local pride for the Blue and White.
Budweiser Man of the Match
New this season, the Budweiser Man of the Match will now be selected by ‘Caps fans live during the match. ‘Caps fans are invited to visit whitecapsfc.com/MOTM after the 70 minute mark of the match to vote on which ‘Caps player deserves the title as the Budweiser Man of the Match.
Bike Valet
All ‘Caps fans riding their bikes to the match this Saturday will have access to a complementary bike parking facility at Gate F. Be sure to roll in and drop off your bike before the match!
