Liam Mackenzie showed exactly why he was named an MLS NEXT All-Star.
Wearing the #10 jersey, the Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) midfielder and Whitecaps FC BMO Academy product started the match for the West team, and made an immediate impact.
The native of Comox, BC set up the opening goal with a brilliant assist to give the West an early 1-0 lead.
They would extend their lead to 2-0 while Mackenzie was on the pitch, before eventually falling 2-0 to the East.
