Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes 11 roster changes to the side that defeated Seattle 3-0 over the weekend.
In 26 matches this year, including the Amway Canadian Championship and CONCACAF Champions League, Robinson has now used 25 different starting XIs. Today’s XI includes three Homegrown players, four SuperDraft selections, one free agent signing, one transfer acquisition, and two players currently on-loan with a transfer option.
Vancouver’s starting lineup today has an average age of 23-years, six months, and 20 days. That includes 19-year-olds Kianz Froese and Deybi Flores. Captain Pedro Morales, who makes his first start since June 6, is the oldest player in the XI at the age of 30.
In total, nine different birth countries are represented in the starters: Canada, Chile, Cuba, Honduras, Italy, Jamaica, South Africa, United States (x3), and Uruguay.
