First time the back four of Nerwinski, Waston, Parker, Harvey have started together since the CONCACAF quarterfinal series against New York Red Bulls on February 22 and March 2 

Waston returns to the line-up after missing three matches with a left hip strain and right hand fracture (successful surgery on June 23) suffered during the first half of the Costa Rica vs. Trinidad and Tobago FIFA World Cup qualifier on June 13. WFC went 0-1-2 without their captain

- Bolaños missed two matches with a right shoulder sprain suffered during the first half of Costa Rica vs. Panama FIFA World Cup qualifier on June 8
- Mezquida missed three matches with a right high ankle sprain suffered during the first half of the Canadian Championship semifinal second leg at Montreal Impact on May 30
- Dean missed 10 matches, including both Canadian Championship matches, with a left foot (fifth metatarsal) stress reaction suffered in training on April 25
- Hurtado missed 14 matches, including the last CCL game and both Canadian Championship matches, with a left foot fracture suffered at the end of the first half against LA on April 1
- Reyna had missed the entire season, a total of 21 MLS, CCL, and CC games, with a left foot (fifth metatarsal) fracture suffered in the second half of the preseason match at Portland on February 15, had surgery on February 21

Jacobson returns to his more familiar position of centre mid after making three consecutive starts at centre back

Three ’Caps (Ousted, Parker, Harvey) have started 16 of the first 17 MLS RS matches and all four CCL matches

Six starters have started more than 100 MLS regular season matches (Ousted 130, Harvey 244, Jacobson 170, Tchani 155, Shea 122, Montero 122)

Played the full 90 of every match to start the season outside of San Jose away on March 11 and the first leg of the Canadian Championship semifinal

Tied for 11th most aerials won in MLS with 37, tied for 22nd most clearances with 69 (second behind only Waston’s 79 on WFC) and tied for 12th in headed clearances with 40 (Waston is third for tied most in MLS with 52)

Makes his 19th appearance and 17th start this year in all competitions
