Vancouver Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Ramon and Michael Siytangco as Kid Captains of the club's Canadian Championship Final home match against Toronto FC at BC Place on Tuesday, July 26.
Ramon and Michael are dedicated Special Olympics athletes and brothers who have autism. Ramon overcame a childhood fear of water to become a very successful swim racer who has competed in many major events. He has earned medals in multiple Special Olympics Provincial and National Games as well as BC Games, and he is set to compete this August in the Canada Summer Games in Niagara as part of Special Olympics Team BC. Michael got his start in Special Olympics youth programs and then got into swimming, skating, and soccer. This year he posted multiple top-three finishes in a Special Olympics swim meet, and he has improved so much with his skating skills that he will join the speed skating program this fall.
Please join in welcoming Ramon and Michael to the match!
