Vancouver Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Rylie Nicholls as Kid Captain of the club's home match against Seattle Sounders FC at BC Place this coming Saturday, September 17.
Nicholls was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma just before her third birthday in July last year. Since then, she has gone through intense treatments including chemotherapy, contrast radiation therapy, surgeries, bone marrow transplants, radiation, and immunotherapy. She will remain in treatment until January 2023. Though high-risk neuroblstoma is a serious illness, Nicholls is getting the best possible care at BC Children’s Hospital.
