As we celebrate Canada Day, Vancouver Whitecaps FC are honoured to have Evan, nominated by Immigrant Services Society of BC, as Kid Captain of the club's home match against Los Angeles FC at BC Place on Saturday, July 2.
Evan was one-and-a-half years old when he moved to Canada from Iraq. He comes from a soccer family, his dad was a professional soccer player. Evan loves soccer, he used to hug a soccer ball as he went to sleep. Unfortunately, when he arrive he fractured his leg in a tournament and was away from the field. Finally, he was able to register to play for the North Surrey Mustangs. Please join in welcoming Evan to Saturday's match!
