WASTON BAGS BRACE
Kendall Waston scored a pair of goals for Costa Rica in a 3-2 victory over Chile on Friday in an international friendly at El Teniente Stadium. Waston has now scored in three straight matches for Costa Rica for a total of four international tallies in 2018.
TEIBERT SETS UP WINNER
Russell Teibert delivered the game-winning assist for Canada in Sunday’s 1-0 Concacaf Nations League qualifying victory at St. Kitts and Nevis. Teibert, Doneil Henry, and Alphonso Davies each played the 90 minutes for Canada, who are now 3W-0L-0D in Nations League qualifying.
REYNA, DOMINGUEZ EARN CAPS
Yordy Reyna and Roberto Dominguez were also in action over the weekend – Reyna played the final 13 minutes in Peru’s 2-0 loss to Ecuador, while Dominguez played the full 90 in a 1-0 defeat to Bermuda. Aly Ghazal, meanwhile, was on the bench in Egypt’s 3-2 victory over Tunisia.
