VANCOUVER, BC – Doneil Henry has been named to the MLS Team of the Week after a heroic performance in Saturday’s scoreless draw with Seattle Sounders FC.
Henry made a number of key defensive actions, including a pair of last-ditch blocks, to help the ‘Caps silence the Sounders, who had scored 10 goals in three matches prior to Saturday. The Canadian international centre back finished the match with seven clearances, three blocks, and three interceptions and is the team-leader or co-leader in all three categories.

Of note, Henry’s 13 interceptions on the season are also just two back of the league-leader.
