VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC captain Ryan Gauld has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for the 10th time this season following his performance in the club's 2-0 win over San Jose Earthquakes in Matchday 32. Over the past two seasons, Gauld has now been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday 22 times.
The MLS All-Star assisted both goals as the 'Caps improved to 6W-1-2D in their past nine MLS matches. The first assist came on a corner kick to Fafa Picault, and the second on a brilliant team play that set up fellow Scottish international Stuart Armstrong for his first goal.
Whitecaps FC have had 10 different players selected to the MLS Team of the Matchday this season.
