VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC attacking midfielder Ryan Gauld and striker Brian White have both been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday after the 'Caps 3-2 win at Portland Timbers on Matchday 28.

This was the 23rd time since Gauld debuted in August 2021 that both he and White have been on the scoresheet in the same match, and the 15th time that they combined together for a goal.
Gauld, who had two goals and an assist against Portland, earns his seventh selection to the MLS Team of the Matchday this season, and his third selection in the past four matchdays. The Scotsman now has 18 goal contributions (10 goals and 8 assists) in his past 13 appearances in all competitions.
White earns his third selection to the MLS Team of the Matchday this season after recording a goal and an assist against the Timbers. White is the highest scoring American among MLS teams, with a career high 13 goals in all competitions this season.
Eight different 'Caps have been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday this season, including Gauld (Matchday 11, Matchday 14, Matchday 16, Matchday 21, Matchday 25, Matchday 26, Matchday 28), White (Matchday 11, Matchday 16, Matchday 28), Yohei Takaoka (Matchday 8, Matchday 10), Simon Becher (Matchday 5, Matchday 6), Ali Ahmed (Matchday 6), Tristan Blackmon (Matchday 4), Andrés Cubas (Matchday 21), and Ranko Veselinović (Matchday 17).
