TORONTO, ON - The 'Caps are back at it on Friday for a rematch with rivals Toronto FC.
On the line are regular season points as well as positioning to represent MLS in the 2020 Canadian Championship Final.

BOUNCE BACK OPPORTUNITY: Whitecaps FC get another crack at defending Eastern Conference champions Toronto FC. After flying into Toronto on Monday and playing on Tuesday, the 'Caps get settled on the road and look to grow from their previous outing to steal crucial points at BMO Field. The 'Caps also hope to continue reincorporating their returning players as Lucas Cavallini, Tosaint Ricketts, and Andy Rose made their first appearances on Tuesday since the season came to a pause in March.
UP FOR SELECTION: With a quick turnaround from the last match, the 'Caps depth could be key for Friday's match. Theo Bair, David Milinkovic, Ryan Raposo, and Tosaint Ricketts are attacking options who came off the bench on Tuesday evening. Derek Cornelius, Érik Godoy, and Jasser Khmiri are available if Marc Dos Santos opts for rotation at centre back.
GROWING PARTNERSHIP: Leonard Owusu and Russell Teibert hope to provide stability at midfield, as the duo have now started together in each of the 'Caps five matches since the July restart. Marc Dos Santos aims for an improved buildup and cohesion across the lines, and Owusu and Teibert's partnership in the middle could be key.
YOUTH MOVEMENT: The 'Caps, who have the youngest roster in MLS, travelled with 12 players 23 years or younger. Last Tuesday, seven of the Generation Z players saw playing time against Toronto FC.
CANADIAN REPRESENTATION: A ‘Caps MLS club record saw eight Canadians take the pitch on Tuesday evening, including four Homegrown players. Ontario-born Lucas Cavallini and Russell Teibert, who both started on Tuesday, hope to lead the 'Caps in positioning the club well for the Canadian Championship. The club with the most points following these all-Canadian MLS matches clinches a spot in the 2020 Canadian Championship one-match final versus the winner of the eight-team Canadian Premier League Island Games.
