Fraser Aird is the Whitecaps FC Player of the Month, presented by Coldwell Banker.
The rookie right back took the honours for April after receiving 66 per cent of the vote in a poll conducted on Twitter this week. Goalkeeper David Ousted finished second in voting, followed by left back Jordan Harvey and midfielder Nicolas Mezquida.
Aird, 21, started five of Vancouver's six matches during the month of April, helping the ‘Caps keep a pair of clean sheets against LA Galaxy and league-leading FC Dallas. The Scarborough, Ontario native recorded a team-high 19 tackles while going up against the likes of Sebastian Lletget, Joao Plata, and Fabian Castillo. He also was second on the team with 13 interceptions.

A native of Vancouver, BC, Grosso joined Whitecaps FC in January of 2015 from EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League club Mountain United FC. As a member of Canada’s U-17 women’s national team, Grosso was recently honoured as a member of the CONCACAF U-17 women’s best XI after helping Canada qualify for the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan.
