Find out why there are two Whitecaps FC logos cut into Surrey's Bose Corn Maze this year

Corn Maze Whitecaps

VANCOUVER, BC – A long-standing Lower Mainland tradition now has a Vancouver Whitecaps FC twist.

The Bose Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch has been running from late August to Thanksgiving every year since 1999. This year, owners Mike and Novy Bose – longtime local sports fans – have emblazoned the Surrey staple with two ‘Caps logos, the version from the club’s inaugural 1974 season and the current Major League Soccer edition.

“The idea was to celebrate their 40th anniversary,” Mike Bose told whitecapsfc.com. “They deserve the support and recognition.”

That idea came to the couple back in the spring after Novy saw a commercial for Whitecaps FC’s 40th anniversary on TV. The pair knew instantly that the Blue and White were an organization they wanted to support – particularly with president Bob Lenarduzzi at the helm.

“He and his family are such great community people,” said Mike Bose, who watched the likes of Lenarduzzi and Carl Valentine back in the 1970s. “Even more, the franchise is such a great community organization and we’ve been following them a lot this year.”

In terms of fan reaction, Bose says ‘Caps-themed maze has been a huge hit.

“It’s been great. People are really excited that we’ve got the Whitecaps logos in the maze. They love that we’re commemorating a local team and the history that comes with it.”

The Bose Corn Maze (located at 64th and 156th Street, Surrey, BC) will run until October 13. For more information, visit bosecornmaze.com.
