It will be Saturday Night Fever at BC Place with fans encouraged to arrive early and dressed in the spirit of the '70s. Forty years after the first match in Whitecaps history against San Jose Earthquakes on May 5, 1974, the 'Caps and Quakes will meet again in Vancouver. To commemorate the event, the inaugural 1974 Whitecaps team will be honoured prior to kickoff. This week Whitecaps FC also launched a Ring of Honour, and Bob Lenarduzzi – club legend and an original member of the 1974 Whitecaps team – will be the first to be inducted prior to Saturday's match.
