On Sunday afternoon at BC Place, join us in bidding farewell to Alphonso Davies.
The 17-year-old Homegrown star will play his final match with Vancouver Whitecaps FC before joining Bundesliga powerhouse FC Bayern Munich. Kickoff for Sunday’s season finale vs. Portland Timbers is set for 1:30 p.m. PT and limited tickets are available (TV: TSN1, RADIO: TSN 1040).
Make sure to arrive early to take part in Phonzie’s special farewell! Doors open at 12:30 p.m. PT.
- Our Premier Founding Partner, Bell, is encouraging fans to drop by the Bell Box at ‘Caps Kickoff on Terry Fox Plaza pre-match to sign a giant postcard wishing Davies well. The postcard will be presented to Davies following the match.
- The first 1,000 fans into the building will receive a Davies poster. A commemorative Davies matchday program will also be distributed on the concourse.
- Following warmup, a short on-field presentation will be held for Davies at approximately 1:20 p.m. A special video message from Davies will then be shown on the videoboard shortly before kickoff, at approximately 1:30 p.m. PT.
- In the 67th minute, the Vancouver Southsiders are encouraging fellow fans to stand up for a minute of applause for Davies, starting when the match clock turns to 66:00.
- Following the match, 28 lucky Season Ticket Members will receive the jerseys off the backs of each Whitecaps FC player.
