MONTERREY, MEXICO – The Whitecaps FC Development Squad played their second match of their Mexico trip on Thursday, meeting university side Tecnológico de Monterrey at Estadio Borregos. In the end, a hard-fought match from both teams ended in a 0-0 draw.
“Today was a different type of challenge, a different opposition,” said head coach Nick Dasovic after the match. “This was an older, more physical university side here in Monterrey, playing at their stadium. There were again a number of positive performances from our group. We will take the positives and keep pushing the team as we head into our final match against a very strong Mexican club.”
The ‘Caps wrap-up their trip on Sunday against a side from Liga MX club Tigres UANL. For more information on the Development Squad, visit whitecapsfc.com/devsquad.
