VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Monday that Alphonso Davies will not participate in Tuesday’s MLS Homegrown Game presented by Energizer due to an adductor injury.

Davies, who missed Saturday's 4-0 victory over FC Dallas, is one of three players who were replaced due to injury, including Montreal Impact midfielder Ballou Tabla and Portland Timbers defender Marco Farfan.

In their place, Homegrown Team coaches Brian McBride and Mike Magee have called up Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown, Atlanta United FC midfielder Chris Goslin and Real Salt Lake midfielder Jose Hernandez.

The MLS Homegrown Team will face Chivas de Guadalajara’s Under-20 Team, reigning Liga MX U-20 champions, on Tuesday, August 1 at 5 p.m. PT at Toyota Park. The match will air on Univision Deportes Network and will be streamed live on UDN’s Facebook page.

After a 4-0 win over FC Dallas, Whitecaps FC return to action on Saturday against Colorado Rapids (7 p.m. PT on TSN1 and TSN 1040).
