‘Caps support Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt Day

Today, February 27, millions of people around the world are wearing pink to support Pink Shirt Day, the anti-bullying campaign. Between 7 and 9 a.m. PT this morning, Whitecaps FC club ambassador Carl Valentine and Whitecaps FC staff members were at the Granville Skytrain station to support CKNW Orphans’ Fund Pink Shirt Day in Vancouver.

With a giant pink flag, and a lot of energy, the ‘Caps couldn’t be missed as they handed out pink buttons by donation to morning commuters and passersby. With a minimum donation of $2, CKNW Orphans’ Fund donates proceeds from Pink Shirt Day to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Coast BC, and a few other select charities working in bullying prevention and solution efforts.

If you missed the pink shirts on the corners of Vancouver this morning, you can still support by buying a Pink t-shirt from any London Drugs in Western Canada—while supplies last!
