- THE BUZZ:
The Vancouver Whitecaps pressed rewind and will play "Poz" as they seek to fast forward up the USL-1 standings.
- WELCOME BACK:
Polish-born, Canadian international defender and midfielder Chris Pozniak has returned to the Caps to replace departed former New York Red Bull Jeff Parke, who joined the Whitecaps while seeking a European contract. "Poz" played seven times and scored one goal for Vancouver before joining Scotland's Dundee FC. "Poz" is expected to suit-up in the blue and white when Vancouver visits the Rochester Rhinos at 5 p.m. (Fox Sports World Canada).
- MUCH ADO PARKE
Parke's stint with the Caps was eventful. He played 11 games after finishing a MLS-mandated, United States Soccer Federation-enforced performance-enhancing substance suspension. His tackle of Wesley Charles in a July 22 practice agitated Charles and led to the assistant captain's release.
- ON THE ROAD:
The Caps continue the road trip Saturday in Cleveland (4 p.m., www.USLlive.com).
