HOMESTAND CONTINUES:

Whitecaps FC resume MLS play on Sunday against Real Salt Lake in their second match of a four-game MLS homestand at BC Place. The match will be the third time the ‘Caps face Salt Lake this season, after previously facing off twice at Rio Tinto Stadium while the Blue and White made Sandy, Utah their temporary home earlier in the year. The ‘Caps have a record of 3W-5D in their last eight matches. With last Saturday’s 2-1 home win against LAFC, the Blue & White now find themselves in 10th place in the Western Conference with 23 points, three points outside the playoff places and four points away from Real Salt Lake in sixth spot.

GREAT SCOT:

After joining up with the team three weeks ago, Designated Player Ryan Gauld has had an electric start to his 'Caps career. The Scotsman has tallied three goals and one assist in his last three appearances in all competitions, including the game-winning goal against LAFC at BC Place a week ago and a mid-week brace in the Canadian Championship. With the games coming thick and fast for the 'Caps, Gauld will be looking to continue his fine form to help the club mount a push to the MLS Cup Playoffs.
