‘Caps Chronicle: Sky’s the limit

'Caps Chronicle - March 29, 2012

WHITECAPS FC IN THE NEWS:
Saturday's trip to the city of brotherly love will be a return of sorts for three members of Vancouver Whitecaps FC's roster. Jordan Harvey, for one, is eagerly anticipating the trip to compete against his former club. "I have a lot of good memories and it holds a really good place in my heart," said Harvey, 28. "I'm looking forward to seeing some old faces and the fans that are so rowdy. It will be fun to see the reaction." (Marc Weber - The Province)

Another former Union player looking to make an impression is Frenchman Sébastien Le Toux. Long a figurehead for the organization after scoring 25 goals and 20 assists in his two seasons with Philadelphia, don't expect any parades in the windy city should the 'Caps continue the momentum with their undefeated, unconceded streak! (Bruce Constantineau - Vancouver Sun)

This weekend’s matchup also marks the return of two other players. John Thorrington and Atiba Harris are once again in the lineup after missing time due to injury. “It has been almost a year since I played in a real game,” Harris said. “So I'm looking forward to making an effort to try and make this trip.” (Bruce Constantineau - Vancouver Sun)

With top class veterans like John Thorrington back on the pitch this season, head coach Martin Rennie is looking to them to take an active day-to-day role in helping the squad achieve their goals. Said Thorrington, "We looked up records and stats and made goals for ourselves that we all believe that we can accomplish and I know that with this group of guys, sky's the limit."
