The excitement is starting to brew on Vancouver Island in anticipation of our Feb 19th preseason friendly against the University of Victoria Vikes. The tradition was on a temporary hiatus for Whitecaps FC's inauguaral MLS season, but Vikes head coach Bruce Wilson now says that Victoria can now count on an annual visit from Whitecaps FC. The stage is now set for Canada's Men's National Team to take the spotlight as the Canadian Soccer Association announced the schedule for their FIFA World Cup Qualifiers yesterday. It will be a crucial season for the men in red and white, who will be hoping for the type of support the Women's side received at BC Place during the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament. To commemorate 100 years the Association and Umbro Canada unveiled the new official team kits of Canada's men's and women's national teams.
