Canada against the United States.
It’s a rivalry that always gets the blood pumping, and on Friday the two nations meet once again in an international friendly match at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The match will be televised live across Canada, with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT on TSN 1, 3, 5, and on RDS.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC fans will have a keen eye on this one with four players from the club potentially featuring on either side.
Residency products Sam Adekugbe, Marco Bustos, and Kianz Froese are all in the Canada camp, while second-year centre back Tim Parker earned his first call-up to the U.S. men’s national team.
All three Canadians made their senior national team debuts in 2015 and now will be looking to impress head coach Benito Floro ahead of World Cup qualifying in March.
Parker, meanwhile, seeks his first appearance for his country at the senior level, while also keeping an eye towards earning a spot on the U.S. U-23 Olympic team.
