Canada Soccer has announced the list of nominees for the 2015 Canada Soccer Player Awards, with voting open today for both media and coaches.
Four current Vancouver Whitecaps FC players have been nominated, including Emma Regan for U-17 Women's Player of the Year, Kadin Chung for U-17 Men's Player of the Year, and Kianz Froese and Chris Serban for U-20 Men's Player of the Year. Whitecaps FC Residency graduate Adam Straith has been nominated for Men's National Team Player of the Year, while 'Caps alumnae Erin McLeod, Desiree Scott, Sophie Schmidt, and Christine Sinclair are all nominated for Women's National Team Player of the Year.
Voting for the 2015 BMO Canadian Players of the Year award is split between media and coaches from coast to coast to coast across Canada. Voting is open from Monday, November 30 to Friday, December 11.
Canadian coaches also have the opportunity to vote for both the Canadian U-20 Players of the Year and the Canadian U-17 Players of the Year. Voting for these two categories will be split between national team coaches and other coaches, including those from the Canada Soccer A & B Licences.
The 2015 Canada Soccer Player Awards will be announced from December 11 to 18, with the Canadian Para Soccer Player of the Year (selected by the national team) the first announcement on December 11. The two Canadian U-17 Players of the Year will be announced on December 14, the two Canadian U-20 Players of the Year will be announced on December 15, and the two BMO Canadian Players of the Year will be announced December 17 and 18.
This marks the 23rd year since the Canada Soccer Player Awards were introduced in 1993. The awards recognise player performances with both the national teams and their respective club teams.

BMO Canadian Players of the Year
