Whitecaps FC Academy teams played their first home matches of the 2019-20 season this past weekend at the National Soccer Development Centre (NSDC).
U-19
The U-19s played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday versus FC Golden State in their first league match of the season. Emiliano Brienza scored on a header for the 'Caps.
The 'Caps were then back in action on Sunday, playing to another 1-1 draw in a friendly versus Portland Timbers Academy. Massud Habibullah scored the goal for the 'Caps.
U-17
The U-17s earned a 2-1 win over the rival Portland Timbers Academy on Sunday.
Caleb Vallance and Dale Reas-Do scored the goals for the ‘Caps.

The U-15s flew to a 3-0 win over the Timbers on Sunday.
Lucas Azmitia-Sherwood scored twice, and Zewdu Mekonnen added the other.

NEXT UP
The U-17s and U-15s host Real Salt Lake this coming Saturday, September 28 at the NSDC.
All three teams will then travel to Portland for a trio of league matches against the Timbers on Sunday, October 6.
