VANCOUVER, BC - On July 27, while the boys in Blue and White took on FC Dallas at BC Place, members of the Lower Island Soccer Association were enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in the suites above the pitch thanks to the generosity of Belland Harbour Air Seaplanes.
For parents, key volunteers, and young players, the journey began with a special trip in the Whitecaps FC branded Harbour Air float plane, where they arrived at Coal Harbour. The excited group was then led to BC Place, where they were able to enjoy the match from the comfort of a premium suite courtesy of Bell, Whitecaps FC Premier Founding Partner.
They were also surprised by a visit in their suite from Whitecaps FC club ambassador Carl Valentine and Whitecaps FC mascot Spike. It truly was a day to remember, thanks to the generosity and kind-heartedness of Whitecaps FC partners.
“We all can’t say thank you enough,” said Karen Hood-Deshon, executive director of Lower Island Soccer Association. “I know I am still smiling an enormous smile and will cherish the generosity of these organizations for years to come.”
