Alphonso Davies continued his meteoric rise on Thursday when he became the first ever North American men's player to be named to the FIFA FIFPRO Men's World 11, as voted by his fellow professional players.
Davies also becomes the third-youngest player to be voted onto the FIFPRO World 11, behind French superstar Kylian Mbappe and Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt.
It caps a year in which the now 20-year-old has won nearly every accolade possible with Bayern Munich, including the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, DFL Super Cup, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup.
Individually he was named Canada Soccer Men's Player of the Year, Bundesliga Rookie of the Season, and was a co-winner of the Lou Marsh Award as the best Canadian athlete in the world.
