BURNABY, BC - Two rising stars on the Canadian soccer scene returned to Whitecaps FC training today following their run with Canada’s U-23 Olympic team at the 2012 CONCACAF men’s Olympic qualifying tournament in the United States. While Canada's attempt fell just short, there were plenty of positives to take away for 18-year-old Bryce Alderson and 19-year-old Russell Teibert, who demonstrated both maturity and consistency at the international level. Central midfielder Bryce Alderson played 90 minutes in Canada's opening draw against El Salvador, while Teibert started all four of the Canada's matches at left back, including the biggest upset of the tournament, a 2-0 victory over the United States.
